Maple Taffy

1: Heat maple syrup over medium-high heat to a boil.

2: Simmer the maple syrup for about 15-20 minutes or until the syrup reaches 237° to 240° F on a candy thermometer.

3: Alternatively, test by dropping taffy into a cold water bath to see if it turns into soft little balls.

4: Once the taffy has reached the desired temperature, carefully pour it in lines on clean snow.

5: Quickly and gently roll the taffy around the wooden stick to make a lollipop.
