Delicious baby back pork ribs coated in a flavorful dry rub and barbecue sauce, perfect for family gatherings. Easy to prepare with a special technique for removing the membrane, and can be cooked in the oven or on the grill.
To make the rub, combine all of the ingredients in a small bowl.
Prep the ribs by removing the shiny silver membrane on the concave side.
Rub the ribs all over with lemon juice and coat with the dry rub mixture.
Wrap the ribs tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 3 hours or overnight.
Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C) with the rack in the middle.
Line a large baking pan with foil, place ribs meat-side down, and cover with foil.
Bake for 2 hours 30 minutes.
Preheat the grill, remove the ribs from the oven, and pour off the liquid.
Brush barbecue sauce all over the ribs and place them directly on the grill grates.
Turn and baste with additional sauce for an additional 10 minutes.
If you don't have a grill, finish off the ribs in the oven on broil for about 5 minutes per side.
